Executive Director
Steve Lenahan

Steve Lenahan is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in the fields of education and nonprofit management. Throughout his career, he has held several leadership positions in various organizations, demonstrating his expertise in strategic planning, fundraising, budget management, staff supervision, grant writing, and program development. One of Steve's notable roles was as the Development Director at the International High School of New Orleans, where he oversaw the strategic plan for fundraising efforts. He successfully implemented various initiatives, including capital campaigns, annual funds, major gifts, planned giving, individual giving, corporate fundraising, community fundraising, fundraising events, and grant planning. Steve's efforts in securing funding from local and national foundations, corporations, and government agencies significantly impacted the educational achievement of students at the school. He also served on the Executive Team, contributing to the establishment and evaluation of charter management goals and objectives. As the Executive Director of People Program Inc., Steve provided supervision to the entire staff and established the strategic direction for the organization. He worked closely with the board of directors to establish committees in finance, human resources, marketing, and more to meet program goals and objectives. Steve fostered a collaborative leadership style, recognizing and utilizing the expertise, skills, and gifts of others. He was responsible for fundraising efforts, including donor development, special events, researching grant opportunities, and writing grant applications and reports. Additionally, Steve managed the fiscal aspects of the program, working with the Finance Committee to develop the annual budget and present financial reports to the board. He also played a crucial role in recruiting and retaining a highly qualified staff and building partnerships with other organizations to promote the People Program in the communities it served. In his role as the Executive Director at BCFS Education Services, Steve provided leadership and guidance to a large team, including both staff and contract personnel. He oversaw the operations of a high-quality Head Start program serving 1,814 children and families through multiple federal contracts. Steve was responsible for developing and managing a substantial budget of $25,000,000 in federal and state funds. He also provided training to the Board of Directors and Policy Council and ensured the timely delivery of programmatic reports for federal grants and private foundations. During his tenure as the Director of Education Services at Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, Steve emphasized the importance of achieving high standards of quality in the program. He worked with staff to develop partnerships with the public and private sectors, reviewed financial and statistical reports to assess budget status, and ensured compliance with state and federal regulations. Steve also sought additional funding for the program, facilitated professional development, and oversaw staff performance through observation and review of files and documentation. He actively resolved community complaints and maintained open lines of communication with grantee personnel. Prior to his leadership roles, Steve worked as a Head Start Program Social Worker at Jefferson County Public Schools, providing classroom interventions and coordinating community services for families. He also served as a Mental Health Professional at the Bluegrass Regional Mental Health Mental Retardation Board, Inc., where he provided therapy to children and families with emotional and behavioral disorders. Steve Lenahan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Western Kentucky University, which has provided him with a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and psychology. Overall, Steve Lenahan's diverse experiences and expertise in education and nonprofit management make him a highly capable professional in driving organizational success and positively impacting the communities he serves.

Sherri Kronk is an accomplished professional with a strong educational background and extensive experience in the social service field. She graduated from Minot State University with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and later pursued her passion for business by obtaining a Masters Degree in business. Over the course of her career, Sherri has dedicated 16 years to the social service field, working with various populations such as youth, the unemployed, and the underemployed. Her commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others led her to serve as the Director of Housing at the Clark County Homeless Coalition in Winchester for the past 3 years. In her current role, Sherri is responsible for overseeing housing programs of three grants.  She ensures that each client receives the best in client driven, housing-focused case management.  She is exceptionally detail oriented and leads her team with the same passion she has for her clients. Sherri is adept in developing and maintaining excellent relationships with landlords and other professionals. The strength of her relationships sets her apart and enables her to effectively advocate for her clients' needs and ensure they have access to safe and stable housing. Her dedication to her work and her exceptional leadership and case management skills make her an invaluable asset to the Clark County Homeless Coalition. And more importantly, those experiencing homelessness in the Bluegrass Region.

Stephanie Turner, a compassionate and dedicated social worker with a strong desire to positively impact the community that she calls home in Clark County. With a background in community mental health and counseling, Stephanie has honed her skills over the years to become a case manager at the Clark County Homeless Shelter, where she works tirelessly to improve the lives of those in need. Originally hailing from Eastern Kentucky, Stephanie has made Winchester her home for the last 7 years, deeply ingrained in the local community. She's a proud alumna of Morehead State University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in social work, equipping her with the knowledge and passion to drive positive change. But Stephanie's life is not only about her professional calling. In her free time, she's a creative soul who enjoys crafting and creating beautiful pieces that reflect her artistic spirit. Her love for nature extends indoors as well, with a growing collection of houseplants. She's also an avid thrifter, finding treasures in unexpected places. And when the weekend rolls around, you'll often find her exploring the Commonwealth, savoring the natural beauty and rich history that Kentucky has to offer. Stephanie Turner's strong desire to positively impact the community that she calls home is evident in her professional dedication and her personal commitment to making a difference.

Alicia Murphy, a dedicated and compassionate professional, has spent her career making a profound impact on the lives of individuals and families. With a rich background in psychology and a deep commitment to community service, Alicia's journey reflects a relentless pursuit of excellence and an unwavering dedication to the welfare of others. Alicia Murphy, from Jeffersonville, Kentucky, brings with her a wealth of experience and a passion for helping those in need. Her journey began as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the age of 16, providing care and support to the elderly in nursing homes. Through her perseverance and commitment, she worked her way through college, graduating from Eastern Kentucky University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Alicia's professional journey took a significant turn when she began her career in social work, working with children in an alternative to detention facility. She played a crucial role in diverting troubled youth from detention centers by providing them with essential mental health treatment and behavioral plans. Her work contributed to creating a nurturing environment that allowed young individuals to thrive and grow. Alicia's experience expanded further as she spent over four years with a community mental health agency, where she excelled in Targeted Case Management and served as a Mental Health Associate, both in outpatient and school-based settings. Her dedication to enhancing the well-being of others, especially in the realm of mental health, shone through in her work. In June 2022, Alicia Murphy joined the Clark County Homeless Coalition, where she currently serves those experiencing homelessness. Her role involves providing essential resources, compassion, empathy, and respect to individuals striving to rebuild their lives. Alicia follows a "housing first" model, believing that a stable home is a foundation for success. Outside of her professional achievements, Alicia is a loving wife and devoted mother of three young children, balancing the demands of family life with her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on her community. Her ability to manage multiple responsibilities with grace and dedication is truly commendable. Alicia Murphy's journey is a testament to the power of education, empathy, and dedication in creating positive change in the lives of others. Her pursuit of a Master's degree from Southern New Hampshire University reflects her continued commitment to personal and professional growth. Lois is a hardworking individual who is currently studying full-time at Eastern Kentucky University. She is working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a special focus on Accounting. Besides her studies, Lois is the Office Manager at CCHC, where she showcases her organizational skills, attention to detail, and understanding of administrative processes. Apart from school and work, Lois loves spending time outdoors. She enjoys camping in quiet places, going on challenging hikes, or just relaxing by a lake. She really appreciates the beauty and refreshing feeling of being in nature.
